In an unprecedented and historic move, the Uganda Parliament on Thursday night voted to extend the presidential and MPs’ terms of office from five to seven years.
This was after the Age Limit Bill went through the Third Reading – the final stage of the law making process before the passed Bill is sent to the President for assent
After over 10 hours of debating, the House reinstated the presidential terms in the Constitution by passing clause 105 of the widely publicized Bill.
The clause states that, “A person shall not hold office as President for more than two terms.”
On Wednesday afternoon, Members of Parliament voted on the consitutional ammendment Bill No. 2 of 2017 at its second reading stage.
A total of 317 MPs voted in support of the Raphael Magyezi bill, 97 voted against while 2 abstained.
Below is how they voted and the Uganda Traitors

December 21, 2017 at 3:09 pm #1380IS THE COUNTRY READY FOR ANOTHER ARMED STRUGGLE?
The situation today in Uganda is worse than when Museveni waged a war in 1980. Corruption is at its worst ever in our nation, police brutalities are worse, poverty, road accidents, lawlessness, and militarism are the order of the day. We cannot just keep on watching our nation turned into a military camp and just hope for the best. Calls for an armed struggle to defend the constitution must become louder. Museveni was ready to go to the bushes if one tampered with the constitution and its time we made good on his promise.
Parliament has been turned into Luweero bushes again. Museveni said he is a rebel in a suit and what he ment by going back to the bushes, the bushes have come to him in parliament. Sad times for our country. We need to use force to defend the constitution.
Our nation has been under illegal occupation and we can use force to bring our country back to tract. Museveni is on the record numerous times stating that after 75, one couldn’t lead the nation and he was to retire. The way things are going in Uganda today, only those that have force behind their decision making are listened to.
The nation has spoken overwhelmingly against the age limit amendments and parliament is there to represent people’s interests not one dictator’s interest. This is Museveni I knew in the late 1970s and he has not changed at 75years.
Calls for an armed struggle is an avoidable because thats the direction NRM regime is forcing those that have no forces behind their decisions into an armed struggle again. Our nation has gone through wars due to greedy politicians. Museveni has been behind all the sufferings Uganda as a nation has gone through and its time to do without him.

December 21, 2017 at 4:06 pm #1383reject Museveni's military dictatorship
The urgent need to increase everyday forms of resistance is on for those of us who reject Museveni’s military dictatorship. His intentional meddling with the constitution using corrupted legislators and intimidation by armed forces inside our parliament was clear for all and sundry. Lifting presidential age limits in order to favour his life presidency was synchronised with extension of the term limits from five to seven years. The blatant abuse of power to entrench his autocratic system of tyranny was in full view of observers. The throbbing phallus that repeatedly abuses Mother Uganda stands exposed before all of us.
Rather than fold our tools of resistance, now is the time for all of us opposed to the raping regime to summon our reserves of strength and double up our efforts. Rather than wither with despair, now is the time to engage higher gears of our contestation against all forms of bad governance. Considering that the enemy has elongated his years of gang-raping our country, we must make it extremely difficult for abuse of state power to just happen. Starting last night, we must resist harder. Rather than quietly bending over, spreading our legs and yielding to this regime’s raping, we shall scream louder, scratch deadlier, kick harder, punch uglier, even pepper our vaginas, and variously wound Museveni’s phallus of abuse.
Uganda belongs to all of us who choose Ugandaness. Nobody should be allowed to make us ashamed of our country. Nobody should get away with misruling Ugandans in our homeland. Since they choose to force themselves on us, we must make them accountable to us for everything they do. “Kabwa kabbi kagumya mugongo,” the Baganda say. Last night they stole our will from us again, they had better strengthen their backs upon which our civil acts of resistance will fall. Every act of rape will wound that Musevenic phallus and the entire body of dictators until we collapse the rapist regime.
December 21, 2017 at 4:16 pm #1384WAR ON AMENDING ARTICLE 102B IS BETWEEN UGANDANS AND THE PRESIDEN
Amending the constitution especially article 102b is not a fight between the opposition and NRM. It is a betrayal between the President and Ugandans. Why hurry to change the constitution right now?
It is easy to talk like Frank Tumwebaze when you have never experienced hardship through his life. He has been spoon fed from childhood and does not know the price of not having medicine in hospitals nor lacking a good school. Of course opposition have no numbers and money to defeat NRM in parliament. But do not betray the nation through amending article 102b. This matter is not between NRM and the opposition. It is between Ugandans and the President. NRM will not be forgiven for weakening the constitution because it has more MPs in parliament. This will not benefit the country as Frank Tumwebaze puts it. It will continue to give more leverage to some people in government who are happy to squander the public purse by giving themselves more time to destroy the country.
Worse, it seems to me that the constitution has not been benefiting most Ugandans. If General Otafire threatens to go back to the bush if Ugandans refuse to allow him amend the constitution, it clearly shows that their are some people in government who want to muzzle Ugandans through oppressive means at all costs even by using an armed struggle. It paints a very bleak picture for future generations and wipes away the notion of those who claim the title of “Freedom Fighters” when the same freedom is denied to people the “Freedom Fighters” fought for.
CROOKED AND STEALTH WAY OF GOVERNMENT PROJECTS
Frank Tumwebaze lists the projects the government has been building for over 30 years. He forgets to mention the scandals and huge lose of money through fraudulent acts by government officials or government linked contractors. These are the projects he mentioned:-
1 Roads
2. Railways.
3. Dams.I would argue all Ugandans to do research on the above projects on how much money Ugandans have lost through scrupulous government officials and contractors. The country can’t be taken for a ride anymore by some people in government benefiting from looting government resources at the expense of ordinary Ugandans.
I would like to tell government officials that millions of NRM supporters and voters including me are against the process that has been undertaken to change this bill and the extension of parliamentary term from 5 – 7 years. It is a reckless act with a lot of arrogance perpetuated by some NRM officials without even consulting their constituency members like Mityana MP who boasted that NRM is better than the people who gave him a mandate to represent them. A political party can’t be better nor above it’s members and supporters.
This issue will not end tonight especially if it is passed. It will cause a lot uncertainty and grieve among most citizens. There is nothing more troubling than when citizens are not listened to by their government. Remember 1980. Never use majority as an oppressive tool. Ask British Prime Minister Theresa May who is just hanging on for taking voters for granted.
We will not be part of the acts that muzzle Ugandans by scrupulous leaders. This issue and many others may lead to an exodus of members and supporters to find an alternative political path to NRM as a right to express themselves freely and help unite the country.

Entebbe UgandaDecember 21, 2017 at 4:20 pm #1385December 21, 2017 at 4:27 pm #1386Reaping what we sow!
It’s crystal clear on 20/12/2017. Mps acted against our wishes.
I take cognisance that whereas ours(Mp, Rukiga County, Rukiga District ) stayed at large during consultation meetings , he got the courage to go and vote a YES.
It’s unfortunate. We stood and watched in dismay….
It’s NOT the BEST our Mps did to us.
We were keenly observant. Thank God, it was done in broad day.
What you showed us is what you believe in. But, you acted against what the nationals believe in.
We were not surprised. You dumped our country where you want it to be.
We shall raise up and redeem our country.
We are not the weakest. We did let you do what was within your mandate.
You will want to do to us what we sent you for when it is too late.
You earned your master a Christmas gift. Believe me or not, you lost our trust.
We are acting our own way.
For those who bore the courage to vote for a NO, we do NOT have much we can bequeath to you.All we know is, you became HEROES to our nation.
Merry Christmas and a blessed New year.
Thank you,
K.A DariusDecember 21, 2017 at 4:39 pm #1387Fellow Uganda and Country men, I greet you all in the name if our Lord Jesus Christ. I thank k him for the care good health and protection up-to this day.
I consider and put into account, the fact that this is a critical moment in our country Uganda, a moment where the nation is divided and torn apart, with others jubilating and others shading tears for their beloveth country Uganda. I have fought with myself to try understand all the two camps for all that they agitated for. Am a true believer in democracy, I believe in the peopls power and the power of the majority. I want to commend the opposition for their sacrifices and all they did within their capacity to try and block the amendments. I thank Hon. Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka H. E Bobi Wine. To me he reflected the ability that is shuttered in the young people. To me his works and zealth portrayed that to a greater extent no considerable change can be effected unless young blood takes hold of politics in Uganda. I thank you Bobi. Within that same spirit I want to thank the Hon. Jonathan Odur for his spirited fight, I thank Hon. Nganda Ssemujju, Theodore, Allan ssewanyana and most importantly I thank my good friend Leader of Opposition Hon. Winnie Kizza. You are a woman of valour who tried so hard to defend your belief and aspirations of your people. I also want to thank ghetto Hon. Raphael Magyezi for your firmness and boldness in either destroying or bettering Uganda, and I want to thank all those who supported the amendment. Regardless of how I judge you all Uganda is already in a course you all decided it to be. It’s just a matter of time before results of your deeds become visible.
Dear Hon, members of parliament, on an independent perspective I want to bring to light a few things that were worthy your considerations before the voting. The preamble of the very constitution you amended states that the constitution is a result of the reflection on the socio-economic and political history of our country Uganda which is characterized with turmoil and political instability. When consulted majority of Ugandans indeed said no. I believe they said no not because they hate H. E Kaguta Museveni, but because they put Uganda above the president. They envisaged a Uganda with fresh blood and a Uganda under a new generation to propel development. It’s no doubt president museveni did his best to bring about and consolidate development in the country. I honestly believe with due respect President Museveni deserved to have a befitting retirement. I am only saddened that our history will repeat itself and we may not have a personality to reflect on interms of governance. As a country we have failed to develop the culture of constitutionalism. Whereas I agreed 100% with reasons for removal of the age limit I want to believe the timing is wrong. Specifically after majority Ugandans after your consultation said no I really desired to withdraw my support but couldn’t. I bet Hon. Magyezi too wished to pull out the bill Hut just couldn’t. I want us to reflect on our history. President Obote overthrew the independence constitution in 1966,deposed the kabaka and dictated 1967 pigeon hall constitution verhmently forcing members of parliament to accept. This precipitated and blessed a bad culture that saw colonel Idd Amin deposed Obote and overthrew the constitution and he ushered in an era of military decree that destroyed Uganda. The days that followed suit were of turmoil not until when president Museveni took power in1986 and after periods of nationwide consultation promulgated the 1995 constitution which he personally remarked then that was the best constitution and indeed that was true. He promised not to touch it and to rule and relinquish power. For some reasons he extended his stay which could be understandable. In 2005 you members of parliament pushed for amendment removing age limit and you gave mzee a chance again. To me this was enough favour for him. 2017 you have not only removed age limits but also extended your stay in power. I will not blame president Museveni for anything, and if he says he is contesting because the people loves him I agree with him. Uganda’s problem will and is not Museveni. Uganda’s problem is the Members of parliament. No explanation can you give to pin the Museveni factor as behind your decision. No one has the power to force you to support what you don’t believe in. Amonding did not support and she is not dead. The problem with Uganda’s MPs are character and affluence. I can’t say Museveni is drunk with power, it’s the MPs obsessed with the desire to be favoured and rise big with power. All socio-economic and political problems of Uganda are because of the so called Manners of parliament. In what you all did on 20th Dec, 2017 history will harshly judge you. If you represented the true aspirations of your people(which you didn’t) then so be it. Sooner or later public reactions will show. I want to let you all be aware that a possible reign of terror awaits Uganda. Don’t be surprised when unnecessary disappearances begin, for it’s widely expected.
To fellow youth and Ugandans, in my humble opinion let’s do all we can to emancipate ourselves. It’s time we reflect on the things that matter the most to us. It’s time we shift focus from the political hullabaloo and shift track to microfinance and entrepreneurship. We can not be able to win the so called tormentors unless we are financially stable. The power that be continues to dominate and rule over you, these MPs continues to deceive and manipulate you because you are poor and desires political favor from them. Let’s shift track to agriculture, innovativeness and microfinance development to facilitate the struggle for governance and democratic ideology. We can do better once we are able to ensure independent sustainability.
It’s not only with the Uganda government but everywhere that megalamoniacism is the order of every government. Thats why civilized democracy are able to facilitate change because of their economic vibrancy. Many seems to mistake this, Identify myself with the government and work in their interest as far as development and good governance is concerned. I do not and will never tolerate things that aren’t in the interest of the people to whom power dwells. Let’s work together for a common good.
We build Uganda for the futureDaniel Obal
December 21, 2017 at 4:54 pm #1388Hello Uganda . my sincere apologies to every one who was hurt by what happened to the constitution of this country on 20/12/2017 which has entered in the history books of the world as the day when the governing book of the nation was trashed in the dust bin of no hope . but I would like to thank every one that didn’t consider this as a victory or loss on either NRM as a party or FDC but as a battle of rescuing this nation . as we all know everything has its own time . time to die time to live . I would think there is time to make and time to destroy time to build and time to cast down . I want to assure you my friends that this is a ‘sad’ time to only those without a hope or a future but let me assure you right now that Africa’s future is guaranteed . our future doesn’t lie in what is happening today around us but what we are doing to shape it the way we want . let’s not mourn for the dead .. Let the the dead burry their dead what is your part in their crying . but let’s gather together now and put our heads together and pave a way towards the betterment of all of Ugandans thus building Africa .
We must stop running towards the cameras and running to the back stage and plan on what to do . men and women of this great nation I call upon you to come together and we liberate ourselves from any form of blackmail, lies , delusions, mistrusts and blame games
This is us not them
This is me and you
This is our war not their war
Together we can build Uganda
God bless you , God bless Africa .December 21, 2017 at 5:02 pm #1389It is totally up sad that our young potato mounds struggling to grow in such a dry season are being attacked a gain by greedy swines more hungry than before. What hurts us they are being led by a foreign greedy hog with a very long snout, very hungry and determined to destroy the young potato veins and the mounds completely down and not ready to leave the garden. Farmers are crying because they are left with no option. Many farmers have attempted to chase it with stones and sticks but it has failed. The hog is very powerful, intelligent and plentiful than them with a lion’s share in favor of it because they run after its golddish dung that gives wealth since they are poor and many support it because they share some resemble ness of a long snout with the hog . We are worried of where we are going to get food and fees in such season and who is going to drive out such a giant greedy hog from our garden. What gives hope to the farmers that the hog is aged and they are just waiting the day for its death . all we just surrender to God to find a solution to this greedy giant hog or else its sad news for our gardens.
Farmers think twice or else we will be left with an empty garden.January 23, 2018 at 4:17 pm #204000I WOULD RATHER BE DISOWNED BY NRM THAN MY CONSTITUENTS
Richard Muhumuza Gafabusa Bwamba County MP (NRM) Voted NO
Question – We understand you met the President before voting in Parliament. What reasons did you give him for not supporting an amendment he campaigned for?
Answer “I haven’t met the President on my own, but we only met him as the Legal Affairs committee to present to him our report. But even when we went there, he was quick to say that ‘please let us talk as a committee and don’t bring your constituency issues here’. I think he had learnt that some of our voters had said no. So we were limited to the committee work.”
“But immediately I came back from my consultations, I met the chief whip and Prime Minister one-on-one and I also put in writing the position of my voters. The chief whip assured me that she would present my issues to the President.
And if there was a convincing response to the issues raised by my voters, perhaps they would have revoked their earlier position. But there was no response. So voters asked me never to dare touch it and they even threatened to burn my house by the way.”
By Richard Muhumuza Gafabusa Bwamba County MP (NRM) Voted NO against the infamous removal of article 102b.My comment DWM
Any political party that takes it’s constituents, members, supporters and well wishers for granted fails to understand the basic codes of democracy and common purpose of the said organisation. Political parties exist because of people not the other way round. History is the best teacher. Political parties which have felt so comfortable in power and ignored the cries of citizens all went down the tube of oblivion. This has been so especially in personalised organisations where the founders controlled the party as a hereditary commodity or family business. Take an example of Uganda Peoples Congress that was controlled by Dr Milton Obote and Kenya African National Union where President Daniel Arap Moi turned it into his own little business. Both UPC and KANU have ended up being led by family members even today. I fear to say that National Resistance Movement is no different. It has the traits of both KANU and UPC that shut any criticism out and called those who dared to point out mistakes as traitors. Political parties come and go but citizens and country go no where.
Political parties should be channels which use and manage tax payers cash to deliver services as promised in their manifestos or as required by the nation.
Just as other millions of Ugandans, I believe that Uganda deserves better than what is on the menu at the moment. The country is being governed like an animal farm and is losing control in all spheres including security that is seeing too many people being hacked to death by criminals in collaboration with some rogue security agents.
Almost every program projected by government has ended up losing huge amounts of money. The failure to deal with the cancer of corruption is killing more people than rebels. People are dying in hospitals due to lack of both medicine and equipment. Theatres do not function and lack almost everything from gloves to injection needles. There is no water in most health centres and hospitals. Nurses, Midwives, doctors, clinical staff etc are not paid on time.
Police Stations still have the colonial Mabati round small or mud huts for officers. People who are supposed to keep law and order are under paid. Their Pensions delayed or lost in the system. Their families are in serious financial problems.
It does not stop their. Anyone who has ever been to Special Forces Command and Army Barracks knows that 90% of the houses are so ancient, dilapidated and rundown. Our heroic officers and their families live in very bad conditions while the country loses billions of shillings every other day. Remember the police and the army are the backbone of security; that is law and order. Most army schools are not better than government run down schools around the country. The lives of the citizens come first than keeping some people in government.
It is a tragedy that the government has prioritised passing out military personnel every year and ignored the fundamental foundations of a growing country through education and Health. The Armed Forces or the Military is there to protect already healthy and well looked after citizens not ill, sick and illiterate people.
These are but a few issues critically facing Uganda. Failure for those given the mandate to solve these problems produces a backlash and must expect a revolt from the voters. Those in authority have themselves to blame. They have been given so many chances. Uganda deserves better.

January 23, 2018 at 8:55 pm #204005Crimes Against Humanity Committed By NRM
The Crimes Against Humanity Committed By NRM Chairman Rubaga/Boda boda 2010 Chairman Hajji Kitatta And His Militia Group.
The night of August 3, 2017 will always remain vivid in Desderio Byamukama’s mind.
It is the day he lost his right hand after he was attacked by Boda Boda 2010 members.
“At around 9pm, I was attacked by three members of Boda Boda 2010 in Makindye as I returned home and they demanded to know where my stage was before asking that I present my membership card,” a teary Byamukama, a born of Gomba district..
“When I told them I didn’t have Boda Boda 2010 membership card, they ganged against me.
According to the 28 year old boda boda rider, a scuffle ensued. His attackers tried to grab his ride while he tried to hold firm, gripping it tightly.
“Before I could know, I had been cut several times in the head. I then turned to see who was cutting me and in a blink of the eye, I saw someone ready to cut off my head. I lifted my hands to try to stop him but unfortunately the panga got my hand and it was chopped off.”
Byamukama says he fell to the ground and his attackers took off with his motorcycle thinking he was dead. He later regained consciousness and crawled to safety.
Byamukama shows off the cuts on his head inflicted by members of Boda Boda 2010. He however narrates that the first person who came to his rescue thought he was a robber.
“I took time convincing him that my motorcycle had been stolen before he called on other people for help,” he said.
He says he told that people who gathered around him what had happened and they called police who later rushed him to Mulago hospital.
At Mulago, he spent more than a month in pain before he was discharged and returned home after he got better.
Byamukama was among the Century boda boda riders association members who held a press conference on Monday at Ovino Complex to jubilate against Boda boda 2010 alleged downfall.
Problem is, he could not fully jubilate especially whenever other members clapped their hands.
Hard knock life
Byamukama who lives in Lukuli Nanganda in Makindye division says being the eldest in their family back in Gomba, he was always looked up to for assistance in terms of finding school fees for his little brothers.
This however changed the day he was attacked and he can no longer fend for them.
“I can no longer work for myself. I live off handouts from friends and neighbours,” he says.
Byamukama has no simple words for Boda Boda 2010 members led by their jailed patron Abudallah Kitatta whom he says need to be brought to book for terrorising fellow boda boda riders.
He says he is happy that the leadership of the notorious group has been checked, adding he is ready to testify against his tormentors in courts of law to ensure justice prevails.
January 26, 2018 at 6:16 pm #204338Human Rights Activist, Willington Ssekadde, Abuses, Traumatises and Denies me my Babies aged 3 and 2 years.
“I have beaten you, insulted you and chased you but you are not leaving. If you don’t want to leave this house alive, tell your people to buy a coffin in which they will take you.” Said the father of my two children
“I will stay here and raise my kids,” I responded amid tears generated by the blow I had just received on my head before my kids, who were more or less used to this scenario.
“Are these the bu-ones keeping you here? Take them and go or else, leave them to die from here. After all I have my other kids and a woman who are meant to be staying here,” he said before driving off in his Mercedes Benz Compressor UAX 450K.
“Daddy is bad,” said my innocent daughter, trying to comfort me.
As I looked at the big house and my Pajero UAZ 871J parked on the one-acre compound, I missed the good old days Willington and I had in our two-roomed Muzigo in Kireka, with not even enough compound space for a boda to park but we were happy.
Willington Ssekade and I met in March 2013 when he was working as the programs manager at Raising voices and I had just started a journalism career with the Observer Newspaper.
A few months later, his organisation was awarded a DFID project which came with lots of allowances and in a nutshell, our lives changed. He finally completed his house that he had been building for the last six years, expanded the plot from a mere 90×100 to one acre, bought two Mercedes Benzes, a Pajero, several plots of land, and constructed flats for rent in Mukono.
He asked me to have kids, promising he was going to marry me but two kids later and four years down the road there was no marriage. Any mention of the word would spark a beating.
He first laid his hand on me when I was six weeks pregnant with our first child in September 2013. Later at seven months of pregnancy, I had locked myself in the bathroom of our rented Kireka muzigo to escape his beating when he forcefully kicked the door open, nearly killing me in the process. I went back home to my parents and delivered our daughter from there.
Seeing that our innocent child needed both her parents, I gave him another chance and in 2015, we had a second child, Malcolm Ssekadde who was prematurely born due to an infection and the stress I was enduring in the abusive violent marriage.
He never allowed me to go back to work and he beat me on several occasions for attempting to start working but in 2016 February, I put my foot down and started working. I endured his abuse but it only got worse until he started threatening to kill me for competing with him by working.
On the 7th April 2017 I left his house with nothing but only my kids and our clothes, not even a feeding bottle or spoon did I carry, save for the Pajero that I used for taking my suitcases to a friend’s home. I hired an Ipsum to take my children who were with my elder brother to my parents’ home in Mbale since I had no place to stay and I also to work that day despite my condition. I stayed with a friend, Dr. Mirembe Leila until I got my own place. He never called me or any member of my family to ask about us.
A week later, on the 14th of April, I went to Mbale to check on my kids and I was informed that Malcolm had been taken to an ENT and he needed immediate operation. His father and I were already aware of this so I called him to ask for money for the operation he was aware of. He didn’t pick so I sent a message. The response I got was heart breaking.
“If you can’t afford the operation, you burry him.”
My dad was willing to foot the bill but I decided to sell my supermarket to pay for my son’s operation the following week. One day while at FIDA I asked him for support so that I could bring the children to stay in Kampala where he could easily see them but he refused. I was working hard to pay up my loan and ensure that my children could come stay with me in Kampala as soon as I was financially stable.
After the boy had recovered, Willington went to my parents’ home to kidnap the kids but luckily, the neighbours saw him and called police. He was put on a seven year police bond and asked to start supporting the children. He only paid tuition and I took care of the other fees including requirements and shuttle services. He absolutely gave us no support apart from that. He sent lawyers and court bailiffs to take his car and I handed it over to them at Kiira road police.
In August, while at my parents’ home, attending to our son who was severely sick, I received a phone call from my daughter’s teacher telling me that a man claiming to be my daughter’s father had gone to school with armed police women led by ASP Lydia Birungi and AIP Sarah Kawuma and abducted my daughter along with the school headteacher, throwing the entire school in panic. And just like that she was gone. This directive as I later found out was issued by Maureen Atuhaire, the Director of Child and family protection unit, Naguru.
A few weeks later, he presented a custody order from Mukono court that had granted him custody to our two kids, Shanelle who was 3 years and Malcolm who was 23 months old. I was never summoned to court and the case was judged by a one Okwong in my absence. Since I was given visitation rights, I settled for that since I was tired of fighting and tossing the kids from one home to the other. What hurts me is that he doesn’t want me to see my children. He never picks my calls, he never calls me. I absolutely know nothing about my kids whereabouts as he keeps telling me they have shifted whenever I ask to see them. I last saw my kids in October after a prolonged battle of exchanging various emails with his lawyers who are always harassing and intimidating me and my family. He even sued my parents for taking care of my children without his permission. I sent them clothes and shoes last November and all I got in response were threats and insults to stay away from his children.
I had tried FIDA before but I wasn’t helped. This man is a renowned child rights activist who has sadly represented the country across the globe on issues pertaining children’s rights and more embarrassing, Gender based violence. He is currently working with World Education International. Due to his work history, he knows so many influential people in the family courts, Police, the gender and justice ministries, plus he has all the money to bribe anyone. He recently sent me messages telling me he had a new wife with whom they are raising my children. All I want are my kids. I have not heard from them in over three months since he and his relatives don’t talk to me.
Everytime I ask him to let me see my kids, it is as if I have opened a can of worms for endless insults. I’ve tried several lawyers but this man has so many connections. I tried drinking, out of frustration to forget but it didn’t work. I have since turned to prayer and abandoned my drinking habits to rebuild my life but my heart still aches for my little ones. They are too young to be on their own without me, especially with a father who is bitter with their mother, a father who has denied them the opportunity to enjoy their mother’s love especially at such a tender age. I forgave him and I am willing to have shared custody because I know we are both equally important in our children’s life but he is so bitter yet I am the victim in all this. I am so heart broken. I want my babies.
To all the women, activists, authorities, lawyers, fellow parents, journalists, for how long shall I and other women suffer in silence under the heavy boots of the rich and the connected? Don’t my children deserve their mother’s love? How can court award custody of such young kids to a father without hearing from their mother?
Please I beg of you, kindly help me share this message and tag whoever can help me access justice for my little ones. I know there is a kind lawyer out there who can help me access justice. Please help me rescue my children. I am totally stuck. Thank you very much and may the good Lord richly reward you.January 26, 2018 at 6:53 pm #204339IS UGANDA REALLY LIBERATED?
IS YOWERI MUSEVENI A GOD CHOSEN LEADER?
I swear no one will ever convince me that NRM’s leadership was chosen by God and to me it’s not a guarantee that all leaders are chosen by God. Some are not.
If I may ask, are rebel leaders also chosen by God? If not by whom? What about the ones who rig elections against the will of the people? Does God encourage election malpractices?
First of all, killing and stealing are against God’s commandments so that disqualifies rebel leaders and illicit leaders from being God chosen.
If that is the case, NRM started as a rebel group led by its permanent leader Museveni that killed a lot of human beings for the sake of ruling Ugandans whose relatives they killed. How can we attach such leadership to God? God will never encourage killing people just because they refused you from being their leader. Museveni went to the bush after losing elections meaning people refused him.
So I will never accept that all leaders are chosen by God. That is the way religion consoles us when things are going out of hand.
Secondly, on the question of liberation, I refute it without doubt if anyone says we are liberated. We are just wasting money on celebrating a merely dictionary word which is not a reality for the case of Uganda.
We cannot call it liberation when the so called liberator is deliberating.
Where is the liberation if silent killing is still on the top news headlines?
Where is the liberation if police brutality, wantonness and injustices are still on the front pages of the news papers?
Where is the liberation if the Constitution has bowed down to exempt, exonerate and venerate some individuals contrary to the citizens interest?
Where is the liberation if public address is only peaceful for the members of the ruling party while the rest, only teargas?
Where is the liberation if a member of the ruling party can burn a tractor but walks away without any charges?LIBERATION IS YET TO COME!

Betty Nambooze was never legally recruited in DP also. After being caught ready handed with corruption envelop at CBS radio by police in early 2000s, she was taken to jail. Elias lukwago with the help of former ssenkagale ssebana kizito tried their best to save her from the coolers of luzira Prison.
The high court convicted her but thanks to Elias Lukwago who managed to challenge the ruling and won her freedom on appeal. From there she declared her self a DP member since she was being pursued by Rev. Bakaluba mukasa her fellow NRM member. Mr ssebana helped her with some financial boost after prison.
So she didn’t enter DP from the smallest unit at the village as she wanted chameleon to do. She also entered from Kampala through Mr. Ssebana kizito and Elias lukwago . Betty Nambooze you were in NRM working first as Mukyakamukyaka official(Indoctrination) and later as Head of enforcement Mukono T.C. ,when you joined DP from Kampala you also started aspiring for higher position of MP mukono north. So let Chameleon be.
You and him are the same, both you were in NRM working for Dictator Yoweri museveni, you both entered DP the same way and you all wanted high offices as soon as you entered the party. The only difference between Betty Nambooze and chameleon is that you left NRM at different intervals.
